Johann Sebastian Bach and His Recording Legacy
J. S. Bach is one of the most well-known composers of classical music, and his pieces are some of the most well-known all over the world.
Bach's Recording LegacyBach is one of the most performed composers of all time, and wrote many pieces such as Toccata and Fugue in D minor and Goldberg Variations continue to be reproduced to this day. Although Bach and many other composers are long dead, their music lives on in recordings, making them much more accessible to the common person, with a few exceptions.
The legacy of Bach through recording shows that although we listen to the composers of old, we still make our own music, unlike the creativity-less world described by early critics of recordings. More on Bach's Legacy |
